Kali, also known as Escrima, is the name given to the fighting arts of the Phillipines. Kali is most famous for it's weapons training. Practitioners are taught principles of weaponry that are applicable to many different weapons. A vast array of weapons are used, including sticks, knives, machetes, pocket sticks, whips, sarongs and improvised weapons.

Kali is also an empty-handed martial art. This aspect of Kali has been featured in many recent films, including the Bourne movies and The Book of Eli.
